              Winter Coat Drive - 2013

Suns of Reawakening is proud to let you know that with your help we were able to provide over 40 children and adults with warm winter clothing during the past holiday season. SOR put out a call in the community and many of you recognized your responsibility to our people by cooperating with this collective effort. You can take credit for the smiles on the face of the young and old Africans alike that were better able to handle the weather because of your kindness. Suns of Reawakening is indebted to you and value your thoughtfulness.  Click the About Us tab atop the menue bar for a list of those business that stepped up to serve the needs of the African community!

Community Deeds

Last Summer, members of Suns of Re-Awakening embarked on a community project that focused on the spirited nguzu saba principle of Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility). The members performed multiple deeds involving lawn and landscaping, deck refinishing, and general clean up. These deeds were serviced to the elders of the community. Staying in the spirit of Ujima, S.O.R. plans to continue performing community deeds throughout this year, and we are calling on you to join us.
