   They Withhold Their Justice!  We Withhold Our Dollars!  

 

          Again the United States justice system has proven to be incapable of protecting the constitutional rights of African people. They missed it again; not surprising to Black and Brown people.  While U.S. forces go throughout the world supposedly fighting terrorism, those same forces wearing different uniforms, are engage in terrorist activities inside African and Latino communities all across America. The refusal on the part of the criminal injustice system to indict policeman Darren Wilson for the public assassination of Michael Brown is a clear indication that the police are the protectors of the ruling class and with impunity, carry a license to kill. From Frederick, the birthplace of the terrorist Roger Taney, comes the rallying cry used by police terrorist to justify the cold blooded murder of African people; Black people have no rights that white people are bound by the law to respect.  A license to kill African and Latino youth, men and women. Local police assassinations has resulted in the untimely death of three young men, Jered Grey, Dany W. Rosales and Ethan Saylor. Nationally we’ve seen Treyvon Martin, Michael Brown, Erik Garner,  Oscar Grant, 7 year old Aiyana Jones shot in the head while asleep on the couch, Amadou Diallo shot 51 times by several cops, Sean Bell, Ramarley Graham just to name a few whose lives were cut short by police assassins.  A month after Michael Brown’s assassination, Vonderett Myers was murdered in Ferguson, Missouri, Ezell Ford was shot down in LA, Darrien Hunt in Utah and John Crawford the 3rd   in a Walmart store in Ohio.  Some people choose to blame this slaughter of our people on a few bad apples, we say the entire barrel is rotten and must be overturned.  It must emphasized that the police are indeed a terrorist organization that is permitted to carry out undemocratic practices against African and Latino people.

 

          A report issued in 2012 by organizer Kali Akuno, an attorney with the Malcolm X Grassroots Committee entitled, “Operations Ghetto Storm” Extrajudicial Killings of 313 Black People by Police, Security Guards and Vigilantes, documents and confirms that a Black man, woman or child is murdered every 26th hours by a policeperson, security guard or vigilante like George Zimmerman.  Just this past week alone we’ve seen the police assassinate Akai Gurley, age 25 in Brooklyn and 12 year old Tamir Rice in Cleveland. Again in both cases the police have been protected. This culture of violence that permeates the entire globe is, as stated by Dr. Martin Luther King, being led by the greatest purveyor of violence in the world; the government of the United States.

 

          Suns of Reawakening and Unsettle Frederick, in line with organizer from Ferguson, will be participating in a holiday effort to convince the community to boycott shopping on Black Friday. Corporate America endorse and contribute financially to the prosecutors and other politician that campaign on getting tough on crime. If you’re a Black or Brown person getting tough on crime is the code phrase to lock up African and Latino people.  What we must do is to turn our dollars into weapons by refusing to or cutting back on spending this holiday season thereby becoming a deadly force that will hurt the U.S. economy and its owners.  Explain to your children that these measures are being taken to protect them from the evils of the police whose function is to protect the interest of the corporate, ruling class. Tell your children that less spending now will help insure their future safety as they grow.  This is part of a comprehensive plan to organize for economic development and self-determination in our community. Don’t shop on Black Friday and cut back on your spending the entire holiday period, including Christmas.
